Debbie Welsh has owned and loved Rhodesian Ridgebacks since 1989, and has been actively involved with rescuing Ridgebacks in need since 1996. She is a member in good standing of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States ("RRCUS"). Deb was a founding officer for Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue, Inc., and served as Vice President and Assistant National Director for 7 years.  She was also one of the founding board members and past President of the Washington, DC area's local Ridgeback Club, the Chesapeake Bay Area Rhodesian Ridgeback Club (CBARRC).
Debbie lives in North Beach, MD with her five Ridgebacks.  The picture below is the view from "Yandisa Ridge," our 16 acres in Chesapeake Beach, MD on Fishing Creek. I hope to build my dream home there within the next year, but in the meantime, it is a great place just to take daily nature hikes with the dogs. Thankfully, it is only 3 miles from our little beach house where we are currently living.

Yandisa Ridgeback's goal is to ensure all puppies and potential puppy buyers are fully prepared for each other by the time they are ready to go to their new homes at eight weeks. The puppies will be lovingly encouraged through a rigorous socialization and environmental enrichment program during their first eight weeks to ensure they receive the appropriate foundation to make the puppies' transition into their new home as smooth as possible.

At 7 weeks, a puppy temperament evaluation will be conducted on each puppy in the litter to give us an even better idea of which puppy would be most suitable for the prospective owners.

Ideal homes for Yandisa Ridgebacks will view their new Ridgeback as a valued companion of the family, first and foremost. If your interests expand beyond a companion dog to showing, lure coursing, obedience trials, herding instinct tests, therapy work or agility, we will endeavor to make the best match possible. Ongoing support is provided throughout the dog's life.
